Maximum Ride; Saving the World - And Other Extreme Sports

The time has arrived for Max and her winged 'Flock' to face their ultimate enemy and discover their original purpose: to defeat the takeover of 'Re-evolution', a sinister experiment to re-engineer a select population into a scientifically superior master race...and to terminate the rest.
Max, Fang, Iggy, Nudge, Gasman, and Angel have always worked together to defeat the forces working against them-but can they save the world when they are torn apart, living in hiding and captivity, halfway across the globe from one another?

Violence
The same, only the Erasers are robots now. The violence is really just becoming a backdrop to the story. There's a large battle, Max fights a 'superboy', Omega

Language
The language is toned down, surprisingly! The Lord's name is misused 20 times, 22 if you count the 'God Forbid's. Crap is the second most used at 9. Fang and Max both say schmuck once, Jeez, What the Heck and badass get a use. Someone says "Holy Mother" Fang 'shoots the bird'

Sexual Content
While at a Dallas Cowboy's game, Fang watches some cheerleaders, which makes Max mad. Later, while Fang and Max are off looking for a place to stay, Fang rubs Max's hair and back, then kisses her. Then he strokes her wings, I guess giving her a massage. After she leaves, Fang thinks about how it will be difficult to sleep without hearing her breathing across the fire.[This didn't feel racy to me, like some love scenes do] When Fang, Iggy and Gazzy are at a beach, Fang and Gazzy describe some of the 'beach bunnies', and Fang mentions that a girl dropped ice cream on her chest. Later, at an expo type thing, a mutant allows her jumpsuit to be unzipped in the back to show off the leopard spots on her spine, we aren't told how low its unzipped. Jeb talks a little bit about how he and Dr. Martinez 'made' Max. Nothing graphic, he just says that it was 'purely scientific', which is weird, because he was married at the time, or so I assume. Someone at the Itex headquarters says that "All genders will be equal" and Max & co wonder what that meant.

Spiritual Content
Max says "Thank God. Goddess. Whatever."

You know how some books 'grow up' to a point where there's so much inappropriate stuff in them that you can't read them any more? I didn't get that vibe from this book. The romance scene was realistic and touching, but it didn't feel racy or anything, like Max and Fang were gonna...anyway. I rate it PG again, for some violence, language and girls in bikinis.
